The Bundesliga Barometer 2019/2020 - FC Bayern again secures first place in Germany's most important Bundesliga customer satisfaction survey

For the 13th time, Sport Bild published the Bundesliga Barometer by Prof. Dr. Madeja from Nuremberg. The results will be presented again this year by TÜV Rheinland. The fans gave marks for the service quality and satisfaction of their own club in eight main categories and 21 different individual criteria. The Bundesliga Barometer therefore offers the Bundesliga clubs unique insights into their most important target group - the fans.

On the 33rd and 34th matchday of the Bundesliga season 19/20, 5,265 fans were asked about their satisfaction with their club. For the first time, the survey was conducted online only, since the ghost games meant that it was not possible to ask questions in front of the stadiums as usual. The participants had already been in their club's stadium before the Corona crisis and were therefore able to give a good assessment of the infrastructure and atmosphere, for example.

The scores 1 (very good) - 6 (unsatisfactory) were awarded in the following eight main categories: Ticketing, traffic, stadium, gastronomy, event character, club, merchandising and club image. The survey, developed by Prof. Dr. Alfons Madeja (Managing Director of SLC Management), represents an important status quo analysis for the Bundesliga clubs regarding customer satisfaction in the benchmark against the competition. The Bundesliga Barometer thus serves the clubs as a valuable source of data and analysis that shows how satisfied their own fans are with the service quality and infrastructure management of the club, and in which areas there is a need for catching up or optimization.

FC Bayern Munich not only won the championship and the cup, but also won the rankings with an overall score of 1.96. In addition, the gap to Borussia Dortmund, who finished second with a score of 2.05, increased. The surprise of the season is provided by rising star Union Berlin. Which in their debut season directly on the 5th place with a note of 2.11 enter. FC Schalke crashes to last place (2.65) with the worst second half of the club's history. In the first major survey in 2007, FC Schalke 04 was still in first place in the Bundesliga barometer.
